  1. Extend Office 365 Roadmap to Address Private Cloud Products

Whether or not Office 365 makes sense in a particular environment isn’t a given and in a lot of real-world cases, the subject matter of intense planning & debate. Unfortunately, we’re only afforded this easily understood roadmap for one half of the question that many customers have to ponder – Which path will they follow?

For many customers considering an on-premises / private cloud solution, it can be exceedingly difficult to fully understand where the functional differences are today, let alone where they’ll be tomorrow.

Having new or planned on-premises/private cloud features depicted in a similar roadmap would be an…

      • Add support for pure server side apps (bots)

i'm looking at the new o365 API for creating an email bot that can send reminders to people. This means that the user for the app is not a real person but an app authenticating via code. As far as i understand that is not supported right now, but it would be very nice :)

If there are work arounds or clever ways of doing this already, i'd be interested in that as well

        • In O365 APIs, need more data in Events property.

In O365 APIs, provide a property in "Events" (https://outlook.office365.com/ews/odata/Me/Calendar/Events) to determine whether a meeting is accepted/declined or is still awating action from user.

          • Store custom data at the user (like an mdb in the users own filesystem)

I like to be able to provide custom data storage - inside the users own office365 - for the users of my applications, like https://www.dropbox.com/developers/datastore .

With that I would be able to create applications without the need to provide and maintain a data backend. And the user would not need to rely on (or trust) a database maintained by me.

With an easy to use api (like azure mobile services).

              • Server error when the user has a Room contact

                When making a request to:

                • Create an Office 365 API for management of Exchange

As best I can tell, Office 365 doesn't have a way to manage users / mailboxes directly via some kind of web service.

This is extremely problematic when trying to integrate the system into existing account management procedures, which might well not be running on Windows.

                  See my post at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19666200/how-can-i-create-an-exchange-mailbox-in-exchange-2010-from-python-perl

                  • Discovery Service -- allow addition of custom services

The O365 discovery service allows me to get the Inbox/Calendar/etc. service endpoint for a given user. I want the ability to extend that to include endpoints for my organization (Expense Report app/Timesheet app/etc).

                    • Create REST methods for bulk object retrieval

For reporting purposes we would like to have REST methods to retrieve metadata about objects in bulk. Right now we have to retrieve the list of objects first, then get metadata about each of them. This is definitely a very inefficient way to build reports. Essentially, would like a REST method that allows to query for the following objects AND specify fields we want to see in the query results, such as created and last modified dates, author, number of items (in a list), size, permissions, etc. We believe that having such REST methods for Sites, Lists and libraries, and…

                        • Office 365 Rest API : Restrict access to specific room calendars only

With Microsoft Graph/O365 REST Apis, we can setup an application to provide access to mailboxes through API. This works. However, I'd like to know if there is a way to restrict such access to specific room mailboxes only?

If it is not supported, can microsoft team provide this feature and is there any other way for now (other than rest apis) to perform read/write operations for limited mailboxes?
