I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Allow 3rd parties to publish to Graph

    Delve is very powerful tool and has been great for discovery and insight for our organization. As a organization that uses Box for it's cloud storage it would be great to see the events that happen there surface into Delve.

    • User companyName property should be writable

      Currently, the User object has a read-only companyName property. This is particularly problematic for cloud only AD tenants.

      • Change Graph API /me/photo/$value content-type

        Currently if you send a GET request to https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/photo/$value
        you'll get back the binary data of the image in the body (normally a jpeg), but the response header contains an entry

        content-type: text/plain

        instead of

        content-type: image/jpeg

        So please ensure that the content-type returns the correct type and not just text/plain.

        • Extend OneDrive to support Open Extensions

          It would be really useful for our customers if we were able to extend DriveItems (both folders and files) with Open Extension fields to store additional metadata

          • Provide feedback on the acceptance status of invitations.

            Update the graph api to support querying of existing invitations, including ability to view status. This would be a great help in determining if a reminder is required to be sent, or if a user has logged on to the system. Thanks

            • Provide an API method which can be used to create Teams

              Today, the latest beta version of the Microsoft Graph API allows for groups to be created, but it does not provide an API function to create Teams.

              I would like an API method which will allow me to create teams, specifying the title and privacy setting for the team.

              • Graph Api for all the files externally shared

                It would be really helpful if we can retrieve all the externally shared files in sharepoint site or group

                  The beta Graph Groups API returns a list of Teams Channels created for that group. Please add a field with a deep link to open that channel directly in the Teams client.

                    • MSGraph to get the user's last login datetime, or never logged in status

                      Currently when searching online, the only place to get last login date is from outlook, but if a AD user is not using office 365's exchange, then the last login date is not accurate. So there is a need for IT professional to get a user's last login datetime, or never logged in status.

                      • Provide API to join / leave Office 365 Group

                        As user can join / leave existing Group from Outlook web access etc. It would be nice to have API to do same from custom apps.

                                • Add a new permission scope User.ReadWrite.AttributesOnly.All

                                  Currently to update user attributes as an application you need User.ReadWrite.All or Directory.ReadWrite.All scopes.

                                  However, these also let you create user accounts (according to the docs).

                                  It would be nice to have a scope that just let you update all the attributes about users and not create or delete them.

                                    • Allow filtering users by officeLocation

                                      While filtering works for some attributes like department it doesn't work for officeLocation, which sadly I need for my use case.

                                      GET https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/users?$filter=officeLocation eq 'Gaithersburg, MD'

                                      Returns:
                                      {
                                      "error": {
                                      "code": "Request_UnsupportedQuery",
                                      "message": "Unsupported or invalid query filter clause specified for property 'officeLocation' of resource 'User'.",
                                      "innerError": {
                                      "request-id": "641beedd-4df5-4b97-b6b5-4f574c382d08",

                                      }
                                      }

                                        GetMemberGroups only returns the "id" properties of the groups, afaik there is no way to include other additional properties (my guess it's because it only searches in some kind of index rather than actually traversing all nodes in the hierarchy, which makes sense when it needs to be transitive)

                                        DirectoryObjects.GetByIds comes handy once I have the ids from GetMemberGroups, but this one returns all default properties. If I specify any $filter for example if I know that I don't need groups with certain prefix in displayName, or a $select because I know I will only need…

                                        • Add inbox rule management to Outlook REST API

                                          Currently the Outlook REST API does not support management of the Inbox Rules. Please add this.

                                          Thanks,
                                          EWG
