After Windows 10 update, PowerPoint add-ins in PowerPoint 2016 do not work in Slide Show mode. It just displays as a picture.

          • Edit object properties

It would be great if you'd allow to edit powerpoint oject properties. I want to e.g. set the font, color, background or spellcheck language from within my app on text boxes or the size/location of a selected object etc..

              • Trigger Presentation Mode in PowerPoint

Add functionality to trigger the presentation from within a taskpane add-in.
Add the following function to the library: Document.setActiveViewAsync
Having F5 reload the add-in is rather useless.

                • Open up more functionality for PowerPoint in Office.js

The current PowerPoint capabilities for inserting text/images is very limited and it would be nice to be able to interact with the elements on a slide.

My specific scenario is to move an old VSTO plugin over to the add-in model, where I iterate all text elements, and change the language of the text boxes. It's very common in Europe that the template is either in the native language or English, and content is then opposite of the template. A link to the VSTO can be found at https://officeaddin.codeplex.com/.

If adding direct slide capabilities is a stretch, then a…

                  • Allow buttons to be clickable in presentation mode

During the slide show (presentation mode), it would be great if the user was able to click buttons. This worked until some weeks ago, but now I am not able to click buttons during presentations on my Laptop (Lenovo Thinkpad E540). The presentation will just jump to the next slide, thus the app is not focused. But this still works on my colleague's laptop (Asus Vivobook S400C).

Is this an intended change or will users be able to click buttons in PowerPoint content apps in the future?

                    • PowerPoint Add-in Instance Id

I would like to have a way of identifying Add-in instances once they are inserted in the document.

My addin adds a picture in the selected part of a PowerPoint document. At the same time I also add some persistent data using Office.context.document.settings.set

Is there a way to specify the name of the picture within powerpoint?
When I unzip the pptx I see that my persistent data is on the webextensions.xml but when I look at inside the slide folder, for instance slides1.xml all I see is the pictures but I dont have a way to associate the pictures from…

                      • I would like to be able to run search and replace operation in MSWord and PowerPoint documents from command line without "button clicks".

I have a document with several fields the contents of which changes from project to project. Instead of opening this document in PowerPoint and running search/replace for each field, with a lot of keyboard/mouse input, I would like to be able to run a utility from command line, which would do it for me. For text files I could do it easily in Linux using sed, awk, etc. I need to be able to do the same for Word and PowerPoint files

                            • PowerPoint Online Bug

                              Hello, please fix the bug!
When we are viewing a slideshow in PowerpointOnline created with add-in, slides containing add-in’s content do not appear to load. Error message
I think this error is a bug of PowerPoint Online.I have created the other apps, that are already in MS Store market. They work without errors in read mode, but bring the same error in full screen mode. Please, look at this screen video: yadi.sk/d/mtypZZx-wNSst yadi.sk/i/coV_DWvQwNUTf
I think there is a problem with using sharepoint Add-in files with PowerPoint Online for all webservices in fullscreenmode.
It's really bug or it's my error?

                              • setSelectedDataAsync can not handle the image if the image size exceeds 5MB.

This is what I posted in forum as
                                https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/bf48b450-6ee4-408b-a441-a53b23c75346/failing-to-insert-a-large-image-into-powerpoint-slides-using-setselecteddataasync-in-officejs?forum=appsforoffice

It seems this is a limitation or bug. We are using setSelectedDataAsync with base64 encoding to copy the image into slide. but the image is corrupted if the image size is relatively huge (like over 5MB). The same code works with both Word and Excel. I guess something went wrong with PowerPoint.

Add Common Distribution Curve Images to Shapes in Powerpoint -(Bellshaped curve, skewed distribution, 1 sided normal distribution, etc)

I often must communicate problems in terms of theoretical population distributions. This is for concepts only of course since actual distributions can be graphed in Excel.

Enable developers to add content to a Powerpoint file in a similar way that the Word 1.1 and Excel 1.1 API allow us to insert directly in document model

                                    • Allow PowerPoint Add-In to create new Slide

Add support for the Add-In to create a new slide in the presentation. A possible use case would be to support the ability for an add-in to insert template marketing slides. A sales person needs to create a new presentation. The add-in pulls the latest marketing slide from a repository and adds them to the presentation ensuring that the sales person is always using the latest slides

                                      • Support the Importing of slides in PowerPoint

I would like to be able to provide an add-in that could insert slides into a presentation. This is a similar concept to the Word Clause library. To provide maximum flexibility to the dev I would suggest using the Ooxml coercionType. Both Get and Set would be ideal

                                        • Support the reading and editing of Custom XML Parts by PowerPoint Add-Ins

Currently if an add-in relies upon being able to read and write Custom XML Parts, it can only do it in Word (and coming in Excel JS 1.3). It would be great to see this functionality appear in PowerPoint so that add-ins can be created that interact with data stored in Custom XML Parts.
