  3. Duplicate online view to app view

    I really love the web look of outlook. It is super easy to navigate, I can find all the various functions that I have been struggling to find in the updated desktop app. I would love if they could duplicate the look.

  4. Change Importance property in Outlook javascript add-in

    According to the specification https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4021#page-32 we should use a header in this case, but apparently Internet Headers do not allow to change this specific header.

  5. Extend CustomTab in office add-ins with multiple add-ins

    Hi Team,

    I am facing issue to extend existing Customtab in outlook with Office Add-ins (not with VSTO, its with manifest.xml)

    Steps:
    I have created a customtab called "My Add-Ins" in outlook, this was created with first add-in called "A" and its working fine.

    Now I have another outlook add-in called "B", I wants to add "B" add-in to exist/already created customtab "My Add-ins".
    How can I do that? Do I needs to use Office Tab or Custom Tab in manifest.xml ?

    Can you please help me here, thanks in advance 👍

  6. E-mail Address

    Currently e-mail distribution is accepting Duplicate e-mail ID's.

    My Suggestion:
    If Duplicate ID's are in the distribution. Mail should recognize it, and inform user to remove and indicate the duplicate id's in Red Colour, for easy detection and removal.

  7. Looking for option in manifest XML to add Add-On(Search related which are not specific to mail) in command bar.

    Recently, we were giving a functioning of search-related to a web module on Outlook through Add-On which was not specific to any mail. While adding its button, we found that there is no way to place the button in the command bar.

    Kindly plan it, so that any open module which are not specific to any mail, can also be intergrated.

  9. On-Attach feature for Outlook Add-Ins

    It would be awesome to have an on-attach feature for outlook add-ins much like the on-send feature. When the user tries to attach a file while composing an email, the add-in gets a callback to inspect the attachment (type, size, etc.). Then the add-in should be allowed to open its task pane for related actions.

    This is an important feature in terms of user experience for file storage applications (like SureDrop or Dropbox).

    For example, consider iPhone. If we want to email a large file:

    • The phone's email client detects that the email is too large to attach directly

    • It…

  10. Add CID of inline attachments to attachment metadata

    When using Office.js to retrieve the body of an email that has inline attachments, we receive HTML like this:

    <div>
    <div dir="ltr">
    <div style="color:black;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;background-color:white;">
    This email has images in the body.</div>
    <div style="color:black;font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;background-color:white;">
    <img data-imagetype="AttachmentByCid" originalSrc="cid:ab24f213-f1a6-4804-ad70-25a4d3ac5f86" naturalHeight="0" naturalWidth="0" src="cid:ab24f213-f1a6-4804-ad70-25a4d3ac5f86" data-outlook-trace="F:1|T:1" tabindex="-1" size="9026" style="max-width:100%;">
    <img data-imagetype="AttachmentByCid" originalSrc="cid:be90d9aa-49a6-48fb-b4b9-d50950aefae3" naturalHeight="0" naturalWidth="0" src="cid:be90d9aa-49a6-48fb-b4b9-d50950aefae3" data-outlook-trace="F:1|T:1" tabindex="-1" size="60886" style="max-width:100%;">
    <br>

    </div>
    </div>
    </div>

    Where the <img> tags are where the inline image attachments would be.

    The attachments property on the mailbox item lists attachment metadata like this:

    {
    attachmentType: "file",
    contentType: "image/jpeg",
    id: "AAMkADFlM2Q0MzdkLTJhZWQtNGQzNS05YWI2LWMwYmNkZmMwODNmZgBGAAAAAAAbEbu84Nj1SIfOZGQpQsg/BwC74mYLmMGJSYnZmTQHpD7TAAAAAAEJAAC74mYLmMGJSYnZmTQHpD7TAAE1znR7AAABEgAQACz3QOlxzApEvhIoK7iHWoc=",
    isInline: true,
    name: "home_team.jpg",
    size: 9341
    }

    There is currently no way…

  11. encrypt

    I believe that you should support smime encryption and not only signing in office js apps. This is an important feature since many companies depend on S/Mimein their product. Currently, as per your documentation, the add-in is not activated in case of encrypted emails.

    Regards

  15. Fix image caching for Outlook on iOS

    While testing images being loaded from an email in my iOS Outlook app, I see inconsistencies with how Outlook caches them. These images are loading from external sources (i.e. HTML img tag with src pointing to a server, not images that are embedded/attached). The app makes several requests to the same image source as you navigate around so it doesn't appear to be caching the images at all. I've included more technical details in this StackOverflow question.

  16. Missing Snooze API (schedule mail to return to Inbox at later time)

    Recently outlook on web added the option to snooze emails so they will return to Inbox at a later time. There is no corresponding feature in outlook desktop app.
    In order to be able to Snooze emails on Outlook desktop, an API will assist in creating such addon.

  17. Add support for Range objects like Word Web Add-in

    In Word Add-in we have tracked objects, in which we can save different type of objects such as Range object to use it later in another context.In Word add-in, I am using tracked range object to change style of the selected text like changing font color within the context without replacing the whole text. I am also seeking the same functionality in outlook but it replaces the whole text instead of changing style within a context like Word. I wasn't able to find Range object to apply font styles on it, I have to find and replace every word occurrence…

  18. create planner task from email and/or link planner tasks to emails

    it would be nice to have an add in to create planner tasks from emails (similar to tasks in outlook) or link planner tasks to emails. Maybe even add the option to perform automated actions when the task is finished (e.g. move email to archive)

  19. Change title of saved note when using Send to OneNote button in Outlook

    When using the "Send to OneNote" button in Outlook 365 - it would be great to be able to rename the note to help better organize it once it is imported into OneNote. Evernote's add-in has this feature.

  20. afterSend Event for Outlook

    Office.js for Outlook is rolling out an OnSend event which is useful but, comes with limitations due to the potential of developers negatively affecting the email-send experience of OL users.

    We are looking for an "afterSend" event, that will trigger our code once an email has been sent and lands on the Sent Items folder. The event would trigger the code asynchronously and will allow for some post processing, without being able block or affect the email sending flow.

    One of the usecases touted for OnSend is "updating a 3rd party system" was one. IMHO, an afterSend event would be…
