Support for shared mailboxes

This would be terrific to have add-ins for such mailboxes especially for all CRMs related apps
Hello all! We are happy to announce that the feature was GA on Ignite Nov 8th 2019! Its now part of our 1.8 requirement set!
Windows Builds 16.0.12130.20272+ should have support for it.
Mac: November update.
Online: Already on latest.
Would really like this feature implemented as it allows us to better globally manage pushing it to shared mailboxes, which we use on a daily basis.
Could you translate that into the language of a normal Outlook end-user, dear Pablo? I'm on Outlook 16.0.13001.20266, but even the MS Translator plug-.in is not visible in the mails I open from our share mailbox. Can I or our IT department do anything?

We implemented this feature on shared inboxes for a customer, and they're still seeing the 'You cannot perform this action. This add-in scenario is not supported in this folder' error...
Update: We managed to make it work by updating the MinVersion from 1.5 to 1.8. This wasn't clear in the documentation, and our assumption was that we could utilize features from more recent versions without having to raise the MinVersion for all users. Now we need to figure out a distribution model to share both manifests separately.
Can't quite figure out why this has been closed. The request doesn't appear to have been implemented despite the Dev response?
Oh, is there no way to reach an admin to re-open this?

Do we need to post this idea again since this one is closed now? This is a must have feature, I'm having a hard time even finding a workaround in the meantime.
Talked with Microsoft Support on 5/15/20 about this issue and support said that the issue is not fixed. The 1.8 update applies to the primary mailbox and not shared mailboxes. Seems like the developer team for this issue got it confused with what users wanted.

We just rolled out ATP along with the Report Message add-in.
Now it appears add-ins are still not working for shared mailboxes.
This is a bit confusing for end-users.

I'm on build 16.0.12730.20188 and it's not working.
Also tried with Outlook on the web but it's not working either.
Could someone explain this for an end user, please? Although I'm running the latest Outlook, any of my add-ins are still not available in my shared mailboxes. Does this mean the add-ins need to be modified before they come available?
I agree that it would be very beneficial to have add-ins supported in shared mailboxes.

I am not a Microsoft employee, but as per the latest community call (Sep 11, 2019) this seems to be in Preview. It will be released as part of 1.8 or 1.9 of the Outlook JS API (which is either November or early 2020 according to their expectations).
The above is based on the presentation given during the said community call.
Would also like to know about any updates and how long this feature still stays in preview.
Hello, is there an updated release date for this?
I have updated outlook to 1904 version and tested in May 2019 shared calendar add-in is working. It suddently stopped working in the month of June. Does this feature removed from preview ? How do i find out about this feature being removed or for troubleshooting any information exists ?
Hi, is there any update on when this will be available in targeted release/general availability? Also, is joining the Office insider program a requirement for testing this feature? the documentation only says "may have to join".
Is there already a targeted release date for this feature? We've been using it since April in the Insider version of Outlook and would love to use our add-in productive.
This would be a big relief for my daily work flow. I manage multiple inboxes and rely on using trello and wunderlist boards to add emails as todos. Right now I have to log in with a different computer to use the plug-ins and add them to trello/wunderlist.
