Improve VBA IDE (MS Access): better integration with SQL Server for query development in Access Front End
Access can link to SQL Server tables but it would great if it had the same intellisense that SQL Server has for writing SQL Statements directly into the VBA IDE. So if you referred to a linked (or local) table in your VBA code then typed the period, intellisense would show the available fields.

Even for a Recordset, having the dot operator instead of a bang to intellisense the field name would be good.
Even better if an invalid field name raised a compile error.
Then we could all have a laugh when some fool tries to use field names like 'Update' or 'AddNew'
Using an SQL back end should be just as easy and seamless as using an mdb/mde or accdb back end data file.

Be nice to be able to do:
Similar with Field(“_see drop down of all field names, same with other objects like QueryDefs, TableDefs, etc.
Close If, Select, With statements automatically
Create a generic error handler when hitting enter after creating a function
Easier interface to change colors, fonts, etc. as opposed to one by one drop downs and be able to save as “theme”
If it could point you towards the correct field names after you referenced the table would be helpful

Yes this would be very helpful.

I second this proposal, would love to see intellicense so that I can type the table name and field name such as tblCustomer.CustomerID
