I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Add timestamps to events received via web-hooks

    Please could you add a timestamp showing the time an event was generated. Currently you have the following:

    ```
    {
    "value": [
    {
    "subscriptionId":"<subscription_guid>",
    "subscriptionExpirationDateTime":"2016-03-19T22:11:09.952Z",
    "clientState":"secretClientValue",
    "changeType":"created",
    "resource":"users/{user_guid}@<tenant_guid>/messages/{long_id_string}",
    "resourceData":
    {
    "@odata.type":"#Microsoft.Graph.Message",
    "@odata.id":"Users/{user_guid}@<tenant_guid>/Messages/{long_id_string}",
    "@odata.etag":"W/\"CQAAABYAAADkrWGo7bouTKlsgTZMr9KwAAAUWRHf\"",
    "id":"<long_id_string>"
    }
    }
    ]
    }
    ```

    But adding a timestamp would help us order events accurately. Something like..

    "createdAt" : "2016-03-19T22:11:09.952Z"

    would be very helpful! Thanks.

    • Add support for webhook at site collection level inclusive of events in sub sites etc.

      Customer want Office 365 SharePoint Online to support webhook so it can push events to 3rd party security vendors to perform real-time inspection on the files go to SharePoint online.

      The subscription for SharePoint can only be hooked to drive level. We need to create subscription for every drive in every site or subsite. This is a bad solution for our production.

      Early we use Event Receiver in CSOM API. We can add event receiver to the site collection and all the sites/sub-sites in this site collection will be hooked. We can get the file events and protect the user’s…

      • Graph API: Add OData $filter support for Planner Tasks (e.g. /me/planner/tasks)

        Currently it's not possible to filter tasks using the Microsoft Graph REST endpoints for Planner.

        E.g. this does NOT work, but should:

        https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/me/planner/tasks?$filter=percentComplete eq 0

        Currently the filter parameter will be ignored, all tasks are returned instead.

        • Support HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled property on Groups

          If want to hide o365 Group using HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled property from Outlook and discovery, the Graph still returns all "hided" Groups. Could you at least return that property with Groups data so we can hide certain Groups withing our apps?

          • Issue with allowExternalSenders property in groups

            I saw that setting allowExternalSenders property through POST/PATCH method is currently not working with v1.0 and beta. Do you plans for making it work any time soon? It is very tedious to set it manually through the UI.

            • Fill Users DisplayName in /planner/Tasks

              If you are requesting the Graph-explorer with the following URL:
              https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/planner/tasks

              The following result is given:
              {
              "@odata.context": "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/$metadata#Collection(microsoft.graph.plannerTask)",
              "@odata.count": 1,

              {
              "@odata.etag": "W/\"JzEtVGFzayAgQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBASCc=\"",
              "createdBy": {
              "user": {
              "displayName": null,
              "id": "fc03bc43-b0ed-4b7d-bc59-8488a77420f4"
              }

              "bucketId": "1m6FwcAAZ0eW5J1Abe7ndWUAJ1ca",
              ........

              The problem is, that the "displayName" in the User Object in createdBy or completedBy is always null.

              Please fill the displayName Property of the User Objects.

              Thanks

              • Allow filter on target of a navigation collection for users and groups

                Enable filtering and casting on the target for a navigation collection. For example "get the users that are members of a group, even though the group contains users, groups and service principals. Additionally allow me to do things like find all the members of this group that are in "sales" department.

                • GraphQL API for the Microsoft Graph

                  Facebook's GraphQL is the perfect API solution for the Microsoft Graph. I highly encourage you to implement this, since it would improve development for React apps.

                  • Support clearing values in Graph API

                    According to this statement http://stackoverflow.com/questions/38249131/how-to-clear-a-field-using-using-microsoft-graph-net-client-library

                    it is currently not possible to clear "simple" fields of Objetcts via Microsoft Graph (Group.Description, User.Surname ...)

                    Would be great if this was supported.

                    • Office 365 SDK Docs - Add Details on How To Authenticate

                      This guidance (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/office365/howto/common-calendar-tasks-client-library#GetAuthToken) is not as complete as it should be. You likely want to add add additional NuGet packages to make this work. Suggest adding the recommended way to authenticate, such as OWIN / ADAL, to help people get started faster.

                      • Provide O365 API calendar callbacks/subscriptions

                        At the moment the only way to monitor a user's calendar for changes is to poll on a regular basis. This is inefficient for the consumer and the host given the frequency at which people change their calendars.

                        Something similar to Google's watch capability would be ideal https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/v3/reference/events/watch

                        • Health status API Dashboard

                          I would like to have API access to all Service health of each of our customers O365 servers. I know you can view individual service health but it would be good to build a dashboard that you can add all your customers on Office 365 and display the current health for Exchange, Lync , Share point etc. If there was an issue you can have a real-time dashboard and provide reactive support to your customer and not have to wait for them to call with an issue.

                          I would love to display a dashboard like this in our office for…

                            • Expose the Capability Name, ServiceUri and ServiceResourceIds in the DiscoveryContext class

                              The Office 365 API exposes the "/services" endpoint, which returns a collection of service Uri endpoints. However, the DiscoveryContext class does not expose the collection, rather it looks up a specific endpoint based on a capability name that is passed into the method (ServiceResourceId or Capability name).

                              I would like a method that returns the collection of CapabilityDiscoveryResults. Alternatively, add an Enum to the library to aid in the selection of Capability/ServiceResourceId.

                                • Allow better viewing of subtasks

                                  When there are tasks that are subtasks it is difficult for users that are given a link or see it in their task list to know what the parent tasks is. When viewing the task in view or edit mode it would be helpful to see what the parent is or be able to easily link to it.

                                  • Extend Office 365 Roadmap to Address Private Cloud Products

                                    Whether or not Office 365 makes sense in a particular environment isn’t a given and in a lot of real-world cases, the subject matter of intense planning & debate. Unfortunately, we’re only afforded this easily understood roadmap for one half of the question that many customers have to ponder – Which path will they follow?

                                    For many customers considering an on-premises / private cloud solution, it can be exceedingly difficult to fully understand where the functional differences are today, let alone where they’ll be tomorrow.

                                    Having new or planned on-premises/private cloud features depicted in a similar roadmap would be an…

                                      • In O365 APIs, need more data in Events property.

                                        In O365 APIs, provide a property in "Events" (https://outlook.office365.com/ews/odata/Me/Calendar/Events) to determine whether a meeting is accepted/declined or is still awating action from user.

                                        • Create an Office 365 API for management of Exchange

                                          As best I can tell, Office 365 doesn't have a way to manage users / mailboxes directly via some kind of web service.

                                          This is extremely problematic when trying to integrate the system into existing account management procedures, which might well not be running on Windows.

                                          See my post at https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19666200/how-can-i-create-an-exchange-mailbox-in-exchange-2010-from-python-perl
