  1. Allow add-ins to specify a hook which when correctly matched can trigger an alert making the user aware of the availability of the add-in.

    Allow add-ins to specify a hook which when correctly detected within an incoming email can trigger an alert making the user aware of the availability of the add-in.

  2. OfficeJS support in web-view folder

    Outlook for Windows supports a (legacy) MAPI property called WebViewUrl which loads a web-page when viewing that folder.

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.office.interop.outlook.mapifolder.webviewurl.aspx

    Support OfficeJS in this scenario to create a folder-based full-view app in Outlook.

  4. Support for shared mailboxes

    Office 365 shared mailboxes are very useful. Unfortunately, they do not load outlook web add-ins right now: see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/35059067/make-outlook-add-ins-working-with-office-365-shared-mailboxes/35065215?noredirect=1#comment57867973_35065215
    This would be terrific to have add-ins for such mailboxes especially for all CRMs related apps.

  5. Boost the custom pane height

    The maximum of 450 for the RequestedHeight element in the schema manifest is not quite large enough. There may be scenarios where the UI needs to cover the entire Reading Pane. Form Regions in the Outlook client already support a complete replacement option for some Outlook items. Add-in Express also has this feature for their Advanced View and Form Regions. Maintaining consistency would be best for all design scenarios and migration from other platforms.

  6. Provide Mail App Compose appointment functionality to manage resources

    In compose app scenario there is no way to manage resources.
    1. if you open a meeting in OWA that has resources configured, you cannot access to this resources.
    2. if you create a meeing in Outlook and you add "Room Mailboxes" as required or optional attendees, OL resolve those partecipants as Resources and you can no longer manage those elements.

  7. Add read flag for MailBox API message object

    Read/unread flag would be a nice addition to identify when email is read first time.

    Currently outlook add-ins cannot know which emails are opened first time. Only way to achieve this kind of behavior is to keep track of itemId's.

  9. getSelectedDataAsync & getBodyAsync should be implemented for mail item.

    We are building a calendar app where we need to read the information from the appointment body and process it. In the current API we only have setSelectedDataAsync on body not the getSelectedDataAsync.
    We would like to have getSelectedDataAsync so that we can complete the application flow.

    It would also be really nice if we can get another method getBodyAsync which returns the entire body content, there are many usages of this in our app.

  10. Return response for MailItem.ShowCategoriesDialog Method (Outlook)

    When calling MailItem.ShowCategoriesDialog programmatically, there is no way to tell if the dialog box is close due to the "ok" button, "cancel" button or "close (x)" button being clicked.

    Please add something like an integer return to indicate the close behavior.

  12. Fix bug in Outlook Folder.AddToPFFavorites Method (bug in 64bit; ok in 32bit)

    AddToPFFovorites command as documented below in MSDN seems to have bug in 64bit Outlook (where there is run-time error when trying to use it) but seems ok in 32bit Outlook.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/ff869286%28v=office.15%29.aspx

    Please fix the bug.

  13. UI adaptation

    For a better integration of line-of-business-applications into the interface of Outlook it should be possible to customize the UI and the Ribbon such as using VSTO or COM add-ins development tools . So if Office. js has the functions e.g. to display custom regions in Outlook, which can be used to display web content as in action panes today, if will be a great step to migrate from existing VSTO / addin solutions to the new app model of office.

  14. Activate mail apps in more scenarios other than read and compose

    Current the mail apps can only be activated in read/compose. It would be helpful to allow mail apps to be available at Outlook application level such as in a task pane docked to main outlook window.

    The scenario is as follows:
    I have a backend document management service to be exposed in Outlook main window all the time. So I can drag/drop email to our document store.

  15. Retrieve custom properties of a message/appointment from each mailbox

    Currently the custom properties stored within an item are scoped to the user's mailbox. It would be great if we could access them everywhere. For example a scenario:
    Compose form which will store facilities required for a meeting within an appointment. In webmail the receptionist could open the read form of the appointment and see all the required facilities stored in custom properties.

    Currently this is not possible, because the receptionist is viewing it from another mailbox where the custom properties are not available.

  16. Office 365 json api | send emails with inline image attachments

    I send the description my team is having with the json integration with Office API 365.

    We want to send an email with inline attachments through the JSON API.

    With that objective, what we are doing:

    1. Create an empty draft message;

    2. Send the several inline attachments;

    3. Update the body of the draft message (with cid images inline);

    4. Send the message;

    What is are our issue with the API?

    We are unable to set the "ContentType" properties when we submit the attachments to the Office API 365.
    Despite the "ContentType" we send, it is always null.

    We are using the following…

  17. Allow Mail Apps to add custom email format address to new mail item "To" list

    Extend the mailitem.to.addAsync() method to accept the custom email formats i.e 'Kiran123@/CO=OT' or.'RFAX:KIRAN@/FN=111/VN=1111' etc.
    Currently "Office.cast.item.toMessageCompose(item).to.addAsyc()" method is not accepting any custom email address. It is throwing the following error message.

    "No valid recipients were provided"

  18. Enable Apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint in Office Web Apps

    Apps for Office only run client side for Word, Excel and PowerPoint. OWA should support them as well.
