  1. Allow Mail Apps to add custom email format address to new mail item "To" list

Extend the mailitem.to.addAsync() method to accept the custom email formats i.e 'Kiran123@/CO=OT' or.'RFAX:KIRAN@/FN=111/VN=1111' etc.
Currently "Office.cast.item.toMessageCompose(item).to.addAsyc()" method is not accepting any custom email address. It is throwing the following error message.

    "No valid recipients were provided"

  2. Add SlideSelectionChanged event for Powerpoint in the JavaScript API

The JavaScript API for Office should be enhanced so developers have an event notifying if the current slide in the normal / edit mode is changed. This would allow for more contextual user interaction.

  3. Enable Apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint in Office Web Apps

Apps for Office only run client side for Word, Excel and PowerPoint. OWA should support them as well.

  5. "Update Available" Badges on SiteContents

It's a pain to identify manually all Apps that are currently offering an update. Users should see a badge on the App Launcher as soon as an update is available.

  7. Remove App version field from office store submission form

Currently when you submit an app to office store, you have to enter app version, this has to match the version defined in manifest, this seems redundant to me, can we remove this field from the submission form. App manifest describes the version of the app and having to enter it again during submission seems redundant to me additionally the app validation fails when they don't match, don't believe this is called out anywhere in policy, I could be wrong.

  8. Allow Excel and Powerpoint to send formated tables and text

Enhance the Office JS API to allow apps to keep the format information while sending a selected table or text (as Word does when selecting a text)

  9. Excel Apps - Enable Data validation support

Data Validation support is a key feature requirement for using Office Apps for OLTP systems.
The main idea is to fill the gap between VSTO features and Office Apps. This will help in easy portability of VSTO based apps to Office apps.

  10. Provide access to app validation reports

Currently you can only see the app validation report for your last submission, if you've had multiple submissions there is no history available. Make it work similar to windows store and windows phone seller portal

  11. Provide Apps for Office testing guidance or samples

I am prototyping a task pane app for Apps for Office. I intend to deploy this on the desktop version of Excel as well as Excel Online in various browsers (IE, chrome, firefox). Currently, I am unsure of the proper way to test the interaction of my task pane App with the Excel spreadsheet. For instance, when my app inserts a table into the Excel Spreadsheet, what tool should I use to verify that a table was inserted into the sheet. For the desktop version of Excel, Coded UI seems usable. However, for online versions of Excel, it is does…

  12. Allow you to associate Node.js web projects with Office for Apps project

It would be great to be able to associate Node.js web projects with the Office for Apps project. Currently when you try to select it you get "Property value is not valid. File is corrupt. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8013110E)"

  15. Add vsto project from list of project references to testproject

I started to employ the MVVM pattern for Word templates and other office addins. This implies that I want to use unit tests. It would be great if VS2012 and VS2013 would show the VSTO projects in the list of projects when adding references to test projects.

  16. Sanely allow Apps for Office deployment to a local computer

Developing my first App for Office (specifically Excel) was an experience I found to be unnecessarily difficult. The Trusted App Catalogs user interface in Excel:

File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings... -> Trusted App Catalogs

Is a giant mess. There's no browse button - just a field to punch in a string that has to be formatted a specific way and only allows network shares and SharePoint remote servers. First off, I was expecting to see a checkbox to "Allow manifest files from untrusted locations" that would then open up a way to select a XML…

  17. Fix issues with trial to paid transition for office apps users (users locked in trial mode after buying apps)

We keep getting reports and complaints from users that buy our apps but seem to be locked in trial mode. Receiving 1/2 reports a day. We checked that we are receiving trial tokens in the app, but users confirm that they bought the apps. Some are able to reset somehow, but most can't.

This error is also described here (see first review by Rod):
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/mini-calendar-and-date-picker-WA102957665.aspx

    Other recent feedback from user:

"I tried all the usual suspects. Reloaded excel. Refreshed apps in excel. Attempted to repurchase through excel to see if it would kick in. Restarted the computer."

    "If my memory…

  18. Customisable App Catalog User Experience/UI

Allow the app catalog user experience and UI to be customised. The API at the moment doesn't allow enough information about the available apps for anything to be built up around a bespoke marketplace site.

  19. Add selected item information to query string also when opening app via Ribbon

When you open an app via Ribbon button no information is given about currently selected items.

In one scenario we needed a prominent button in the Ribbon to open an app that processes the currently selected item(s). Unfortunately this is not possible. You have to use a context menu action on an item to open the app and work on this item.

This information also needs to be available OOB to apps opened via Ribbon action.

  20. Update Visual Studio Development Tools for Office 2013 SP1 and OpenXML SDK

As Microsoft has released SP1 for Office 2013, which includes some important features included like content app support in PowerPoint, But the Office development tools are not yet updated and also OpenXML is also not updated yet. I would suggest to update both these tools.
