create a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity category in Seller Dashboard.
PlanBcp is a disaster recovery and business continuity planning solution that promotes using Azure cloud technology in your plans. It would be nice if the Seller Dashboard had a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity category.

UI adaptation
For a better integration of line-of-business-applications into the interface of Outlook it should be possible to customize the UI and the Ribbon such as using VSTO or COM add-ins development tools . So if Office. js has the functions e.g. to display custom regions in Outlook, which can be used to display web content as in action panes today, if will be a great step to migrate from existing VSTO / addin solutions to the new app model of office.

Let Word support web font
I'm developing a Word App which can add custom fonts(which are not installed yet) in Word.
My idea is that to take the Word as a HTML page by using the JavaScript API for Office v1.1 (Office.context.document.setSelectedDataAsync). With the CSS font-family setting , ex:
@font-face{font-family:fontname; src: url('http://xox.com/font/fontfile.eot');src: url('http://xox.com/font/fontfile.eot?#iefix') format('embedded-opentype'),url('http://xox.com/font/fontfile.woff') format('woff');}
and the HTML tag setting, ex: <span style='font-family:fontname;'>Here shows the custom fonts...</span>But the result is: Word accept the CSS style setting, but the web font style is not success. It still keeps the system font style.
I suggest Word can support web font.

Activate mail apps in more scenarios other than read and compose
Current the mail apps can only be activated in read/compose. It would be helpful to allow mail apps to be available at Outlook application level such as in a task pane docked to main outlook window.
The scenario is as follows:
I have a backend document management service to be exposed in Outlook main window all the time. So I can drag/drop email to our document store.15 votes -

Microsoft Office 365 API Tools support for Windows Store Apps written in JavaScript
There is currently no support for Windows Store Apps written in JavaScript in the Microsoft Office 365 API Tools: https://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/a15b85e6-69a7-4fdf-adda-a38066bb5155
Is it going to be supported in the future?

Office 365 SDK API - Class Library Reference
The documentation on dev.office.com for the new SDK API reference is great for how to, but what's missing is class library documentation for the assemblies added in the various NuGet packages. For instance, I should be able to get to a page that for something like Microsoft.Office365.OutlookServices.OutlookServiceClient. Today I have to use a .NET reflection tool, the Object Browser in Visual Studio or write some code and see the IntelliSense to see what objects, methods & properties are available to me.
13 votesApologies for late reply here. WE have a new PM that owns the SDK, Darrel Miller. We are working with the docs team to bring the SDK reference documentation onto docs.microsoft.com . An example of this is here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/?term=httprequest . ^JT

Office 365 SDK Docs - Add Details on How To Authenticate
This guidance (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/office365/howto/common-calendar-tasks-client-library#GetAuthToken) is not as complete as it should be. You likely want to add add additional NuGet packages to make this work. Suggest adding the recommended way to authenticate, such as OWIN / ADAL, to help people get started faster.

Retrieve custom properties of a message/appointment from each mailbox
Currently the custom properties stored within an item are scoped to the user's mailbox. It would be great if we could access them everywhere. For example a scenario:
Compose form which will store facilities required for a meeting within an appointment. In webmail the receptionist could open the read form of the appointment and see all the required facilities stored in custom properties.Currently this is not possible, because the receptionist is viewing it from another mailbox where the custom properties are not available.

Provide O365 API calendar callbacks/subscriptions
At the moment the only way to monitor a user's calendar for changes is to poll on a regular basis. This is inefficient for the consumer and the host given the frequency at which people change their calendars.
Something similar to Google's watch capability would be ideal https://developers.google.com/google-apps/calendar/v3/reference/events/watch

Office 365 json api | send emails with inline image attachments
I send the description my team is having with the json integration with Office API 365.
We want to send an email with inline attachments through the JSON API.
With that objective, what we are doing:
1. Create an empty draft message;
2. Send the several inline attachments;
3. Update the body of the draft message (with cid images inline);
4. Send the message;What is are our issue with the API?
We are unable to set the "ContentType" properties when we submit the attachments to the Office API 365.
Despite the "ContentType" we send, it is always null.We…

Solve Office Activation Issues on Azure VMs
Office installed on Azure VMs are losing their activation after a VM shutdown. This makes it impossible to create test VMs or use Office on a developer VM to develop/test/deploy(buildserver output) on Azure. Activation based on hardware assets such as harddrive and network MAC/IP combinations is outdated in 2014 and invalidates your VM images.

Make Linux command line access to Office365 easy available (Linux SDK)
Linux engineers are at large scripting their work. How easy is it to get a file from an Office365 document library using a Linux command line script?
Would be possible looking at oAuth and REST but with your more open approach, launch a Linux SDK3 votesNeeds more information ·AdminOffice Developer Team (Microsoft Office Extensibility, Microsoft) responded

Social Network of project and Office-document sharing
Would be really useful for all students studying in international fields of their studies to be able to share their projects and presentations and be able to access or view other peoples' work. This would be linked with your Microsoft account and it would be nice to have a rating system for shared projects.
Think about how much more effort students around the world would put on their projects when they are trying to achieve publicity and good grades online with their school projects. Now that we have Office for iPhone and iPad also the sharing of your documents straight…

Javascript API: Trigger the AutoFormat functionality of Office
I sometimes use use SetDataAsync to write an email address into a cell. When this is done manually, Excel converts it into a clickable link. When it is done with SetDataAsync, this auto formatting doesn't happen. If would be great if it was just automatically triggered.

Only fire BindingDataChange event when cell data changes
Currently it fires on scroll or changing formatting or cell width or a bunch of other random situations. Additionally, it should probably only fire when the user actually changes something, not when I write something with the API

Encourage users to give feedback on each app
At present, very few users give feedback and reviews on apps. As a result, other users are less likely to try them.
At every possible stage, there should be a mechanism for users to rate the app - provide a number of stars and comments. That could be an email reminder or a message that comes up next time they visit the store or something inside of Office 365. The more users that give feedback, the more that other people will feel encouraged to try.

Add ability to collapse selection
Could you add a call to the Office API to collapse the selection? e.g. removeSelectionasync()
Our Eduction Task Pane apps work based on selections and we would like the ability to collapse the selection once the functionality we introduce has been completed.
At present our task pane apps target Word 2013 and Excel online, though we are coming from Word Object Model desktop type applications, so making the cross over.

Gavan, thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate it! Can you please explain your scenario a little bit? We now have a getRange API using which you can get the range of an object (paragraph.getRange(“start”), at the start or the end of it, and then it can be selected. Does this API help with your scenario? We look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks!
