  1. Support Azure Conditional Access for Microsoft Graph

A lot of Microsoft products does not work as expected due to the fact the Microsoft Graph does not support Azure Conditional Access. Among the applications I can mention is Microsoft Teams, ToDo, etc. that all rely on the Microsoft Graph and breaks to to limited support or no support for Azure Conditional Access.

    Teams:

    • Provide access to internetMessageHeaders for messages in Sent Items

While EWS and IMAP provide access to the internet headers for messages all messages, and the Graph API provide these for incoming messages, replies and other outgoing messages have empty internetMessageHeaders values. This means, for example, that it's impossible to determine which message a reply is in reply to.

      • Provide a way to identify permission object for group owners vs group members

Currently listing all permission on a driveitem https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/v1.0/api/driveitem_list_permissions returns a collection of Permission https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/api-reference/v1.0/resources/permission.

where three default users are owners, members and visitors. It is very difficult to identify which user is member or owner as these are presented as displayName only and it is translated name in tenants localization setting,

We need a canonical way to identify permission object's grantee whether grantee is owner or member

        • Similar API response structure for Business and Personal accounts

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/developer/rest-api/api/drive_recent - this endpoint returns different set of fields for personal and business accounts. I could understand if it only adds extra fields for business account, but no - field "fileSystemInfo.lastAccessedDateTime" is missing. And the whole structure looks different. Suggestion - add missing fields for business account

          • Provide the ability to determine which user has performed an action in a shared mailbox

It would be really helpful to have the ability in the Graph API to know which user has performed an action (such as creating a folder, or sending a message) in a given mailbox especially when considering that multiple users work in a Shared Mailbox.

            • Add user.readBasic.all permission as an app permission in Graph

Azure AD graph has delegated permissions for user.readBasic.all which restricts the information that a 3rd party accessing this api can capture from our tenancy directory. We have a 3rd party app that accesses the Azure directory to retrieve basic data to set up accounts in its user directory and we need to restrict this to the basic data due to the security risk. We cannot rely on the 3rd party just doing the right thing all the time.

I need a way to set the app to allow app permissions (not delegated as the read occurs every 4 hours without…

              • Graph API: Add OData $filter support for Planner Tasks (e.g. /me/planner/tasks)

Currently it's not possible to filter tasks using the Microsoft Graph REST endpoints for Planner.

E.g. this does NOT work, but should:

                https://graph.microsoft.com/beta/me/planner/tasks?$filter=percentComplete eq 0

Currently the filter parameter will be ignored, all tasks are returned instead.

                • Provide the ability to subscribe to a mailFolder resource in Graph API

The ability to subscribe to a mailFolder resource and recieve notification for changes to mailFolders would be really great. As of right now only delta queries are supported which require a lot of overhead.

                  • Support for sending outlook calendar events through graph API

Currently it is possible to update an outlook calendar event through API but after updating we need to open it manually and send it from outlook app itself. It will be great if we can send the events from API itself instead of opening outlook for this.

                      • Dynamic Admin Consent

Currently the Admin consent flow is bound to the permissions that are statically pre-defined in the Azure App registration. This causes some challenges for App developers, for instance:
                        • If we would start to highlight education data for education tenants, then we need to add an Education.Read permission (or something similar) to this registration. This will not be applicable to non-education tenants, but admins of those tenants would still need to grant our App permission to it, which doesn’t make sense.
                        • Certain features in our App can be deactivated on a tenant-basis, such as access to OneDrive. An Admin…

                        • Extensions Permission

This affects all resources that support extensions but let’s take the User resource as an example:

Extending the User resource currently requires an entire User Profile read/write consent (User.ReadWrite).
We only want to read and write additional data that we provide to the User resource and not modify the entire resource. Users might be hesitant about consenting to Apps that could potentially corrupt their entire user profile.

                          • Expand the Graph Open Extension limitations

I'm attempting to use the Graph Extensions for my user data and keep running into limits put in place that I feel are too small. I either hit the 2KB limit per extension, or when I try to break it apart into logical extensions, I hit the error: "Maximum number of extensions values supported per application is 2"

I can provide our business case if needed.

                            • Extend the Microsoft Graph API with more SharePoint search features

Microsoft Graph allows us to search individual sites

                              e.g.

                              https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/sites/mydevspsite.sharepoint.com,siteid/drive/root/search(q='cheese')

The SharePoint REST api allows us to search across all sites

                              e.g.

                              https://mydevspsite.sharepoint.com/_api/search/query?querytext=%27chicken%27

It would be extremely useful to be able to perform the search all sites call directly from the MS Graph.

                              • Change Sites.Read.All Permission Display String

Access to SharePoint data in the Graph currently requires consent to read or write to the entire SharePoint Instance. This is presented to the user as: ‘Read items in all site collections’.
Our prospects are hesitant to grant this permission as it appears like we can read all their data in SharePoint, regardless of access control settings in SharePoint.

We suggest to change the display string from ‘Read items in all site collections’ to something like ‘Read all site collection items that user can access’.
It makes it clearer at a glance that it’s limitied to user read rights and…

                                • $top breaks /messages/delta

Found the $top parameter does not work as expected on /messages/delta. Regardless of that $top is set to, 10 messages are returned. Not only does it not work, found $top actually breaks /messages/delta. If using $top on a folder with say 1000 messages in it, /messages/delta will return 10 messages w/ a skip token. Pass that skip token back in, you'll get 0 messages w/ a delta token. Pass that delta token back in and you'll get 0 messages again. Take off the $top parameter in the original call and you'll be able to pagination through all 1000 messages. It…

                                  • Support Azure AD B2C local account

There is currently no easy way to manage Azure AD B2C local account from a .Net Core app.

Currently the only way to manage B2C local account is with Azure AD Graph API through Microsoft.Azure.ActiveDirectory.GraphClient nuget. But since those projects are deprecated and only maintained for critical issues, they will not be ported to .Net Core.

If you have an ASP.Net Core WebApp or WebApi you need to use the Microsoft Graph .NET Client Library which support .Net Standard 1.1. But as Microsoft Graph API does not support local account, it is useless if your tenant is an Azure AD…

                                    • Support HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled property on Groups

If want to hide o365 Group using HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled property from Outlook and discovery, the Graph still returns all "hided" Groups. Could you at least return that property with Groups data so we can hide certain Groups withing our apps?

                                      • Create event in all calendars

We'd like to be able to push events to calendars in the organization without having to be accepted. Company events, holidays, etc. It's not clear if this is possible right now. Based on everything I've read on SO, it seems office graph can only be used to push events to "ME".

                                        • msgraph ios sdk

                                          Hi Team,

I couldn't find a way to get the folders and file in a specific Sharepoint site, or a way to list all available sites using msgraph iOS SDK. Is this available? If it is, could you give me a pointer on how to proceed?

For now I'm only able to get the content of a user's personal drive and Sharepoint's "default" site.

Is any possible to get the content of specific site information except default root site using msgraph iOS SDK preview version.

                                          Regards.
                                          Ansari
