  1. Support Azure Conditional Access for Microsoft Graph

A lot of Microsoft products does not work as expected due to the fact the Microsoft Graph does not support Azure Conditional Access. Among the applications I can mention is Microsoft Teams, ToDo, etc. that all rely on the Microsoft Graph and breaks to to limited support or no support for Azure Conditional Access.

    Teams:

    • Extensions Permission

This affects all resources that support extensions but let’s take the User resource as an example:

Extending the User resource currently requires an entire User Profile read/write consent (User.ReadWrite).
We only want to read and write additional data that we provide to the User resource and not modify the entire resource. Users might be hesitant about consenting to Apps that could potentially corrupt their entire user profile.

      • Dynamic Admin Consent

Currently the Admin consent flow is bound to the permissions that are statically pre-defined in the Azure App registration. This causes some challenges for App developers, for instance:
        • If we would start to highlight education data for education tenants, then we need to add an Education.Read permission (or something similar) to this registration. This will not be applicable to non-education tenants, but admins of those tenants would still need to grant our App permission to it, which doesn’t make sense.
        • Certain features in our App can be deactivated on a tenant-basis, such as access to OneDrive. An Admin…

        • Change Sites.Read.All Permission Display String

Access to SharePoint data in the Graph currently requires consent to read or write to the entire SharePoint Instance. This is presented to the user as: ‘Read items in all site collections’.
Our prospects are hesitant to grant this permission as it appears like we can read all their data in SharePoint, regardless of access control settings in SharePoint.

We suggest to change the display string from ‘Read items in all site collections’ to something like ‘Read all site collection items that user can access’.
It makes it clearer at a glance that it’s limitied to user read rights and…

          • Support HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled property on Groups

If want to hide o365 Group using HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled property from Outlook and discovery, the Graph still returns all "hided" Groups. Could you at least return that property with Groups data so we can hide certain Groups withing our apps?

            • Create event in all calendars

We'd like to be able to push events to calendars in the organization without having to be accepted. Company events, holidays, etc. It's not clear if this is possible right now. Based on everything I've read on SO, it seems office graph can only be used to push events to "ME".

              • Add a Group relationship to the SharePoint/Sites/Site endpoint in Microsoft Graph

Currently the SharePoint Sites endpoint in the graph doesn't allow you to navigate to the associated group if it has one (in the case of group enabled team sites). It would be good if you either created a /sites/group relationship or at the very least included GroupId: {guid} in the properties returned when /sites/{site-id} is called so that a second call could be made to the /groups/{id} endpoint.

                • Last password change

We want to switch from remote PS sessions to Graph API for the product we offer to our customers, we recently switched from the MSOnline to the AzureAD cmdlets and are pretty happy about it but lets face it, Graph API would improve the performance significantly but there are lots of properties/functions we don't find. One of them is the Last password change of a user. This is the same request i found on Stackoverflow: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37849116/microsoft-graph-api-password-last-changed . Would be neat if this is implemented and im sure we are not alone :) (Vote if you think the same)

                    • consistent retry-after information accross different workloads

Currently OneDrive, Outlook, and AAD Workloads under the Graph send a retry-after header on 429 and/or 503.
However the documentation doesn't say which workloads support it https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/concepts/throttling and the other workloads don't support it.
It'd make it easier if that was supported across the board to have a single way to handle those kind of issues.
Same remark for the rate-limit headers

                      • Get / Set of Users signature - including usage by OWA, Outlook 201x and mobile clients

Please add methods to get and set mail signatures AND extend Outlook, OWA and all mobile clients (iOS, Android, Win Phone) to use this one and only signature.
Maintaining signatures for organizations and users in multiple places is currently "not optimal" in Office / O365

                        • Support $count for group members and owners

Currently $count is not supported on `directoryObjects` like users and groups. Although it would be great to know how much members / owners are in a group. The only way right now is via querying the members or owners endpoint of the group and checking the array length. Depending on the number of members, this could lead to multiple calls.

It would be great that the `$count` parameter would be supported so that only one call is required.

                          • Support for SharePoint Hyperlink or Picture Field Types

You can currently retrive the "Hyperlink or Picture" column from SharePoint but you have no clue of the field type.

It would be cool if the columns call return an additional "hyperlink" property to indicate that its a hyperlink or picture column like

                            "columnGroup": "My Columngs",

                                    • Provide API access to AAD user MFA Properties

Would be good to not only retrieve the state of the authentication requirements, but the details around MFA as well: MFA Methods, etc (StrongAuthenticationMethod, StrongAuthenticationRequirement, StrongAuthenticationDetails that was available in PS for AAD V1)

                                      • Contact API: support weblink property on Contact

The REST API only Supports webLink for Messages. However this is not supported for Contacts.

In scenearios where an app itself should not edit/change contacts this would be a valuable feature.

                                        • Add support to Groups and Photos APIs to Hybrid Deployments

The current documentation states that "[o]nly v1.0 of the Mail, Calendar and Contacts API are available for mailboxes in hybrid deployments".

In order to create real-world solutions using Graph API in Hybrid deployments, the Groups and Photos support (at the very minimum) would be of great benefit. This would enable creation of solutions that drive consumption of other workloads than pure email (such as SharePoint, Yammer, Teams, PowerBI, Stream etc).

                                          https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/docs/concepts/hybrid_rest_support
