We would like something like insertSheetFromBase64; which would also require method to getSheetBase64. Would include all sheet content, including images, rangeNames, formatting, charts, etc.

I would like to have the ability to use the newer JavaScript Add-In API when embedding Excel from OneDrive, instead of the older EWA namespace.
The only current option to embed Excel from OneDrive is EWA namespace, see "Using the Excel Services JavaScript API to Work with Embedded Excel Workbooks" https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/hh315812.aspx.
I would also like to be able to embed Excel from OneDrive for Business and control via a JavaScript API (preferably the newer Excel add-in API).
