Thanks Thorsten, what do you mean by “App Launcher”, do you mean the App Icon you click on the Site Contents page? Right now there is Update hyperlink text next to the App Icon. Could you be more descriptive on the badge requirements? ^JTThorsten Hans commented
yes when you navigate to site contents you've to actively dig into each and every app in order to see if there is an update available. (True for my tenants). Combined to smartphones it would be great to have a small notification badge sitting directly on each App-Tile that indicates that there is an update available.
An other option would be to introduce a kind of tab on the site contents page that shows all available updates at once and allows me as a user to update all apps with one click.

We’ve been working on the tasks area of the Microsoft Graph with the aim of creating a clearer and more consistent API story around tasks from Outlook, Planner, WunderList and SharePoint. We don’t have anything to share at present, but we are investing in this space.

This is definitely one of the more highly asked features, thank you very much for sharing! We’re always looking at making more investments in expanding the App support across multiple endpoints within Office. We’ll keep you posted via the blog if and when we implement this feature.
