You can sometimes get the raw headers with that link: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38103388/is-it-possible-to-retrieve-the-rfc-2822-or-any-headers-from-an-email-with-the but it still does not work in the 'Sent Items' folder. It's hard to see who replied to who when half of the conversation does not have the headers.

We have the same issue. We are trying to pul the same extended property because the headers being parsed and returned in the API response are often incorrect. Like the original poster, this pushes our requests from 1 to a group of 50 to 51. So it's 50x slower and 50x more requests we are hitting the O365 API for

I'll vote for this too. Coming from EWS to Graph/REST API was a step backwards in getting the folder list. @Eric Legault, you can get the sub-folders, you just have to recursively walk the folder list down. In our measurements, it can go from a 200ms query to multiple seconds to a get a folder list.

Access to the raw headers in the Sent Items would work too. Passing $expand=SingleValueExtendedProperties($filter=id eq 'String 0x7D') in the query works for all folders except the Sent Items.

fwiw, EWS does return the raw headers in the Sent Items folder. But, the latest Oauth endpoint won't let us Oauth users with EWS scopes.
