    This appears to be happening regardless of what <Permission> set is used in the manifest.xml. The function works in the same version Word & PowerPoint (16.0.4966) but not Excel

    After more review it seems like any document opened with createDocument() has some issues with it. The first being the "Split" view is disabled, and if you try to create a new end note or foot note, a new MS Word window will pop-up for no reason;

    Cannot echo this enough, could use all the same features as Hlynur mentioned:

    - Adding custom data to Shapes, Slides and Presentation (similar to what is possible with the Tag property on Content Controls in Word)

    - Manipulation of Document Properties. Both built-in and custom.

    - Importing of all the slides in a base64 file after the current slide of the current presentation. Similar to insertFileFromBase64 in Word:
    context.presentation.insertSlidesFromFileFromBase64(base64File, 'after')

    Couldn't agree more. One of the biggest drawbacks with createDocument, createWorkbook, and createPresentation is that it opens in a new window and the add-in (and add-in state) is entirely lost. Could this be implemented?
